It's just orange juice, for crying out loud...

For the love of Mike, would someone with some sense please discontinue the commercial for Tropicana's new Trop 50 orange juice.

The commercial that features Kyra Sedgwick 'dancing' all around a kitchen to a Tom Jones audio track.

Who does she think she is, Ellen Degeneres?
If that's what their new orange juice does to a person, I'll pass.

It's just embarassing - she's doing what she thinks is dancing and vamping and shaking her groove thang all around a kitchen and up and down a step stool and she just needs to stop it right now.

She's making Tom Jones uncool.

What the hell is wrong with Jamie Foxx?

I mean, seriously. What the hell is up Jamie Foxx's behind?

Why the sudden attacks on Miley Cyrus? Did he hit on her and she shut him down?

This is a grown-ass man taking potshots at a CHILD.

Regardless of who she is, what she does for a living, or how much money she makes, SHE'S A CHILD.

The latest news is that he's telling her to make a sex tape.
I think you're begging for an ass whoopin' from her daddy.
I'd pay good money to see that, too.

Should I make some popcorn in preparation for Jamie Foxx to have a Dave Chappelle-esque meltdown?
It seems like it's coming, doesn't it?
Jamie got himself some well-deserved respect for the acting chops he's shown since leaving In Living Color.
Things have been kind of quiet for him lately, though, haven't they?
Is this how you get back into the news?
Come on, dude. If you want to do that, just go make a sex tape.
As Wanda.

Musings on Earth Day, garbage, and the everyday landscape.

Earth Day is April 22 - be sure that you do something nice for Mother Earth.

It seems to me that we should be doing these nice things everyday, not once a year. I'm just sayin'.

I despise trash/garbage/refuse/detritus.
I also despise the attitude that a lot of people have that 'someone else will clean it up'.

At least weekly, I need to go outside and pick up fast food waste that someone has deposited in the street.
I can only assume that the mega-bass that these vehicles pump chucks the food bags out of the window.

I have no dog, yet I need to de-poop my property.
I can remember that when I was lucky enough to be owned by a dog, I cleaned up after him.
I didn't allow him to use my neighbor's lawns and sidewalks as his toilet. Why? Because it's rude.

I need to clean up the recyclables that blow out of a certain neighbor's bin, and end up tangled in my hedges.

I pick up the beer cans and bottles that the patrons of the bar on the corner throw away as they stagger home.

I keep my recyclables where they belong. I cleaned up after my own dog. I don't throw trash out of my car window. I keep my property neat.

Why am I in the minority?

Oh, and by the way...

I apologize for not posting anything for a while.

That, my friends, will change.

:^)

Crabby Bitch

People and their posts: an observation.

So, a friend of mine is running for local office.

He's very well-qualified, an all-around good guy, and a community leader.

His opponent, the incumbent, is also a good guy, but not as qualified, and not as much of a community leader as he'd like people to think, at least not by anyone's standards that I've spoken to.

There is an article posted on the internet about yet another candidate who has thrown his hat into the ring.

Said article has a comments forum, and as soon as you post your well-thought out comments, forum trolls with an oppositional stance attack you with their curse words, poor spelling, ignorance and horrendous grammar.

Why? Because that's the only ammo that they have.

I was told that I have a big mouth and that I'm a busy body.
Well, HELL to the YEAH, douchebag.
Thanks for recognizing just a few of my strong points..

There are also insinuations of an improper relationship between my friend and myself, which I think is beyond ridiculous.

I hate to disappoint, folks, but I don't troll bait.
I stated the facts as I see them, in clear and concise language, and I'm through with that forum.
I have more important things to do.
